ABOUT US

Student Government Student Media (SGSM) is the umbrella department for several student-run organizations. This includes five Student Governments: Associated Students, University of California, Irvine (ASUCI), Associated Graduate Students (AGS), Student Bar Association (SBA), Merage Student Association (MSA) and Associated Medical Student Government (AMSG); and five Student Medias: The New University, KUCI, Anthology, and Alternative Media. We are proud to work with many creative, smart, and motivated student leaders in our department who contribute greatly to this campus, leaving an imprint that lasts far beyond their years at UC Irvine.

LEADERSHIP

Providing leadership opportunities for students to create events, represent the student body, and gain skills to be a successful Anteater. Our department is proud to foster leadership for a successful UCI experience.

CREATIVITY

Students engage in design and content creation for all events and materials. Our department provide resources  for students to express their creativity in all methods.

ADVOCACY

Our departments are fully engaged in UCI campus and community engagement. We encourage students to be involved with advocacy in the local, state, and federal levels on issues that effect the campus and the UCI student body.
